In 1993, the second generation of lawyers of the Casco family organized a department of intellectual property for the registration of trademarks of goods and services, patents in the field of health technology, communications, copyrights, health registrations of pharmaceutical products, food, cosmetics, biologicals and other industrial or intellectual properties. This addition was designed for both national and international clients, who wish to protect their assets and investments in Honduras. The firm has been recognized for its litigation on claims of unfair competition and infringement of industrial property rights, as well as litigation for both border prevention measures and destruction of counterfeit products.

Omar is a managing partner and lead lawyer at Casco & Casco. Omar has extensive experience in the professional practice of law in Honduras since 1975, starting out as a junior associate at Casco & Associates and then founding Casco & Casco in 1991. He is best known for his knowledge and skills in negotiation, litigation, arbitration and intellectual property.
In the academic field, Omar started his teaching career in the School of Law as a legal researcher, before becoming a professor in several subjects, including in the fields of commercial law, constitutional law, and private international law for more than thirty years. Currently he is Professor Emeritus of the School of Law and has a Doctor Honoris Causa in Law from the National University of Honduras.
Omar is an active member of the Honduran community. The Republic has entrusted him with multiple missions, including presiding over the Commission for the selection of Supreme Court judges for the 2008 constitutional period, membership for the Truth and Reconciliation Commission in 2010, membership for the Commission for Reforms to the Judiciary, Public Ministry and Police in 2013.
Omar graduated as a lawyer from the Law School of the National Autonomous University of Honduras. He also did postgraduate studies in public and private international law, conciliation and arbitration.
Omar is bilingual, fluent in Spanish and English.

Omar is a member of the Inter-American Industrial Property Association (ASIPI), the International Association for the Protection of Intellectual Property (AIPPI), the International Trademark Association (INTA), the American Bar Association (ABA), the Honduran Notaries Union, the Honduran Lawyers Bar and the Honduran Association for the Protection of Intellectual Property.
Lesbia is a managing partner, coordinator and office manager at Casco & Casco. Lesbia works directly with clients to ensure that Casco & Casco provides efficient and thorough services.
Lesbia is responsible for the administration and monitoring of trademark records, patents, records of pharmaceutical, food, cosmetic and health products.
Lesbia is bilingual, fluent in Spanish and English.
Jorge is a partner and leads the corporate division for Casco & Casco. His expertise includes investment treatment, organization of corporations, foundations and civil associations, labor, administrative and civil litigation and arbitration.
In the area of intellectual property, Jorge concentrates on trademark registrations and incidences, trademark litigation, nullities and oppositions, patent registrations, food and pharmaceutical sanitary products.
Jorge graduated as a lawyer and obtained a Master's Degree in Business Law at the Universidad Tecnológica Centroamericana (UNITEC). He has taken several courses in procedural law, family business and corporate governance, in conciliation and arbitration.
Jorge is bilingual, fluent in English and Spanish.

Tania is a partner at Casco & Casco. Tania has extensive international experience, which is vital in the area of intellectual property, Tania specializes in copyright registrations and currently coordinates the marketing division for the firm. She has experience in foreign investments, contracts, labor relations in international development institutions.
Tania’s professional experience includes initiatives in trade and international policy, communication with business actors, government administration, investment promotion and temporary employment programs.
In 2010, Tania was responsible for the commercial trade affairs at the Embassy of Honduras in Washington DC. In her most recent foreign service posting, Tania was the Consul at the Embassy of Honduras in Canada. During her time in Canada, Tania created a migrant program, through a bilateral agreement, allowing Hondurans to work in the Canadian agricultural sector. Her initiative has helped so many Hondurans
Initially graduating with a Law degree from the Universidad Nacional Autónoma de Honduras, Tania has since broadened her education internationally. Tania has obtained a Master in International Contracts and Commercial Law in a joint program, which included studies from American University, Washington College of Law and the University of Chile. She obtained a Certification in Arbitration from American University Washington College of Law. Most recently, she has obtained a Master of Laws from the University of Ottawa. She also obtained Bachelor of Arts in Business Communication from Universidad Diego Portales while studying in Chile.
Tania is tri-lingual, fluent in both Spanish and English, while having basic French.

Andrea is a partner at Casco & Casco and has been responsible for the area of patents and sanitary records of food for the firm. Andrea brings a wealth of experience in both Honduran and US Law, focusing in administrative regulatory matters.
She obtain a law degree from the Faculty of Law of the National Autonomous University of Honduras and also did a Paralegal Certificate in the University of Miami.
Andrea is bilingual, fluent in English and Spanish.
